C. A. Houp

C.A. Houp was born in Naples, Florida in 1981, growing up in her father's childhood home. She has many fond memories of writing stories when she was young and would recite them to her parents. She would also draw and paint, as creativity was always her outlet. She had spent many years growing up in Naples before moving around a little bit in her later years. 

 

In her late 20's, she would move to spend a few years in New York, living in Queens and working in the city in the restaurant industry. Afterwards, she would move back to Naples and stay until she reconnected with her husband and moved to Kentucky.

 

She got married to her childhood sweetheart. Both their fathers were friends and lived in the same neighborhood just a few houses down. Her husband was born one year after her in 1982. They were inseparable, until one day his family had decided to move to West Virginia.  They would see each other here and there through life, never forgetting one another. He joined the military and moved to Japan, and  C.A, stayed in Naples. The two of them lived their separate lives until ​they eventually met back up after 20 years of being apart. They got married shortly after and moved to Kentucky to start a life together. He has two sons from a previous marriage that they adore, and spend as much time as they possibly can. 

​In Kentucky, C.A. has a small farm with her husband. They also enjoy traveling whenever they aren't being home bodies.

Writing has always been a part of her life. It not only allows others to be a part of her rich inner world, but it has been a tool to help her through some of the toughest times in her life. She hopes to share some of her inner working with everyone in the future through her writing.
